Overview
Our client is a well-established technology manufacturer specializing in high-reliability solutions for mission-critical applications. Their products serve a wide range of industries, including aerospace, defense, and industrial automation.

We're seeking a hands-on Technical Project Manager to lead complex avionics development projects. This is an onsite position where you'll oversee cross-functional engineering teams, collaborate with customers, and manage the technical execution of software-based avionics systems from concept through validation.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of system engineers in the execution of complex avionics programs.
  • Manage project scope, tasks, budget, and schedules.
  • Engage with customers to gather and define system requirements.
  • Drive development, testing, and review of system and software documentation.
  • Monitor project performance against plan and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Create visual documentation such as diagrams and flowcharts for better communication.
  • Coordinate with internal departments including engineering, sales, and program stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement continuous process improvements.
  • Provide mentoring and project guidance to junior engineers.
  • Support sales and marketing teams with technical expertise during product promotion.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of avionics systems development experience.
  • At least 5 years of technical project management experience (PMP and EVM preferred).
  • 2+ years of software development experience with C/C++.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage system requirements.
  • Familiarity with avionics protocols (ARINC429, RS232, RS485, CAN) is a plus.
  • Experience working under avionics development standards (DO-178, DO-254, ARP4754) is desired.
  • Proficiency with Agile tools (e.g., JIRA, Subversion, Confluence).
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must pass a background check and drug screen.
