Systems Administrator L1
Hillsboro, Oregon (onsite)
Onsite: M-F 8am-5pm

Pay Rate: $38/hr W2

The Systems Administrator will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the organization's network infrastructure. This position involves collaborating with Computer Systems Engineers on system integration analysis, performing upgrades, deploying software, and monitoring network performance and health. The Systems Administrator will also evaluate various hardware platforms, develop test procedures, and provide technical support to internal and external customers. Here's an overview of your key duties: 

Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain and upgrade current network infrastructure components, ensuring optimal performance. 
  • Monitor network health and performance, troubleshooting issues proactively. 
  • Configure networks and deploy new software solutions as needed. 
  • Evaluate and analyze PC, Laptop, and Server platforms for performance and compatibility. 
  • Develop and document test procedures and scripts for various systems. 
  • Perform regular assessments and produce reports on system functionality. 
  • Provide training and technical support to internal and external customers on systems and software. 
  • Assist users with connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi access point setup and IP address assignment. 
  • Manage data backups and ensure security protocols are in place. 
  • Recycle old hardware and integrate new components into existing infrastructure. 
  • Upgrade operating systems and software with the latest patches. 
  • Maintain a solid understanding of storage configurations, including SAN and NAS technologies. 
  • Document processes, configurations, and system changes for future reference. 
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and software tools to enhance system analysis and performance. 

Qualifications: 
  • Systems Administration experience with at least 2 years of hands-on experience configuring and testing server and network equipment (routers/switches). 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft and Linux OS installations and configurations. 
  • Familiarity with WinPE and imaging tools such as Symantec Ghost. 
  • Basic understanding of network fundamentals, including switching and routing. 
  • BS/AA degree in Computer Engineering (CE), Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Engineering Technology (CET), Electronics Engineering Technology (EET), or equivalent experience. 
  • CCNA, Network+, or other relevant certifications are desirable.
