Senior Maintenance Technician
1st shift
$22-30/hr depending on experience
Job Summary
The Senior Maintenance Tech is responsible for installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of production equipment, tools, facilities, and vehicles under limited supervision. This role is required to ensure associates can work in a safe and productive environment and consistently meet customer requirements.
Major Responsibilities
- Performing duties in accordance with current Quality Management System, Safety Management System, and Code of Conduct requirements
- Operating hand tools including electrical and pneumatic powered tools
- Troubleshooting production equipment, powered industrial trucks, hoists, tools, and company vehicles to determine maintenance and service requirements
- Repairing and installing complex electrical and mechanical systems such as hydraulic/pneumatic pumps, tools, and automated/numerically controlled plant equipment such as programmable logic controllers
- Reading and interpreting complex schematics, blue prints, diagrams, and service manuals to determine appropriate maintenance and repair needs
- Fabricating complex production/facility systems using welding, milling, plumbing, and pipefitting
- Performing preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities as required
- Loading, unloading, lifting, and moving parts and equipment in preparation of inspection, maintenance, or service using powered industrial trucks and overhead lifting equipment as required
- Completing and maintaining all associated electronic processes and paperwork including checklists, stamping, blueprints, bar coding, and shipping/receiving materials
- Maintaining departmental housekeeping and 5S standards
Required Skills, Experience, Education & Certifications
- High School Diploma
- 5 – 8 years of industrial maintenance experience
- Advanced comprehension and math skills
- Proficient with MS Office programs
- Able to demonstrate safe and effective operation of all required equipment, tools, and powered industrial trucks
- Able to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and measuring devices
- Able to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical and mechanical systems
- Basic ability to read, speak, and understand English
- A valid driver license and required power industrial truck certifications
- Must be able to stand and walk on concrete up to 100% of the work day
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs alone and over 50 lbs with assistance
- Must be able to climb and balance
- Must be able to use hands to reach, handle, and/or feel
- Must have manual dexterity in hands for tool usage
- Must be able to visually inspect products
- Must be able to work in a non-temperature controlled environment
- Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment
Travel Requirements
- 10% travel required
