What's a typical day as a Spares Mechanical Technician? You'll be:
As Spares Technician, you will be responsible for organizing and maintaining the spare parts inventory and inventory system. The position is critical to the effective operation of our manufacturing and technical process teams to maintain equipment, manufacture product and meet all customer requirements.

What You Will Do at Aptar Pharma!
• Determine levels of stock to keep on hand. Locate new and better local suppliers for current and future needs and assist with ordering parts and hardware Control the reception of all parts and verify their conformance to the original request.
• Provide administrative and logistics support for system maintenance and parts procurement
• Manage the SAP MIGO process.
• Communicate with suppliers to receive quotes and secure alternative suppliers if parts are no longer available.
• Maintain records and proper tracking of all orders, quotes, and pending requests.
• Identify spare parts no longer in use or available and report to management.
• Identify needed parts by auditing machinery on a regular basis.
• Educate staff in the proper use of the spare parts management system.
• Help improve the spare parts management system on a continuous basis.
• Create flags and other means of identifying potential issues in the use of parts.
• Identify excessive use of parts and report to management.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with company procedures and report any dangerous situations or malfunction of equipment to management.
• Attend maintenance meetings.
• Additional Duties as may be assigned in support of the Technical Operations team

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
High school degree with technical experience.
At least one year of experience in Spare parts inventory experience, parts coordination in a manufacturing company
At least 3 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to analyze spare parts to compile relevant reports
Knowledge and use of working with Excel and/or database experience Knowledge and skill. Familiar with MS Office Suite.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical prints.
Collaborative, works well on teams and in interacting with other departments.
General knowledge of various manufacturing techniques.
Experience using of precision measuring equipment.
Have knowledge of automation equipment, hardware, and spare parts BOMs Strong computer skills to help support automation spares and maintenance software databases
Physically capable of the required work including but not limited to: Extensive use of manual dexterity, ability to grip, firmly hold, turn and practice strong hand coordination in order to troubleshoot, service and repair industrial equipment and use hand tools to perform the same. Ability to regularly stand, walk, lift, reach and bend while performing of essential job duties.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Understands and practices safe working procedures. Observes safety rules and policies; brings to managements' attention any unsafe acts or conditions
Auditing or compliance experience helpful
