Description

The Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely receipt of incoming shipments and preparing orders for shipping. This role involves inspecting deliveries, entering pricing and discount information into the computer system, and organizing warehouse inventory. Candidates must possess adequate physical strength and flexibility. Responsibilities

• Load and unload shipments using appropriate equipment such as a pallet jack.
• Process incoming shipments by verifying contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Accurately pack and prepare orders for shipping to ensure timely delivery.
• Organize and store received items in designated areas within the warehouse.
• Record and maintain detailed records of all incoming shipments.
• Collaborate with purchasing and inventory teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in shipping and receiving or a similar role is preferred.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations, including order picking, packing, and inventory management.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment such as a pallet jack safely.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items up to 40 lbs.
• Basic computer skills.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour Expected Hours: 40 per week

Monday-Friday 8 hour shift
