General Summary:
The Shipping/Receiving Worker is responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient operations by adhering to all operating procedures, safety regulations, and company policies. Compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws is mandatory. Typically, the work shift is from 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, but flexibility is required to meet company needs.
Pay Rate:
$17-18/hr Essential Duties and Responsibilities Shipping:

  • Pull all shipments and verify order accuracy, including product codes, batch numbers, quantity, and customer part numbers.
  • Palletize all outbound orders to prevent damage and meet customer requirements.
  • Inspect each carrier prior to every outgoing shipment and fill out the carrier inspection form.
  • Load all shipments daily.
  • Organize and file all shipping documents using computer systems.
  • Prepare all UPS and FedEx shipments as needed each day.
Receiving:
  • Inspect each carrier prior to unloading every incoming shipment.
  • Unload all shipments, inspecting for damage, and record any found on the bill of lading.
  • Review packing slips for product codes, batch numbers, quantity, and Roha part numbers.
  • Pull samples of all incoming goods as needed.
  • Organize and file all receiving documents using computer systems or other methods.
  • Route incoming goods to the proper department.
General:
  • Perform all FDA product storage, sample pulling, and labeling during the certification process.
  • Repack any boxes damaged during transit.
  • Repack/relabel any material for sale.
  • Participate in monthly and yearly physical inventories as required.
  • Follow all OSHA rules and maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
  • Report all incidents/accidents to the supervisor or manager immediately.
  • Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
  • Perform daily and scheduled master sanitation cleaning tasks.
  • Work to improve processes and reduce overall production costs.
  • Communicate pertinent information to the supervisor or manager.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Job Specifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent GED required.
  • Certification: Must be able to obtain certification to operate the following:
    • Stand-up reach truck
    • Sit-down electric forklift
    • Walk-behind stacker
    • Pallet jack
    • Electric pallet jack
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 months of work experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
    • Basic math skills and the ability to solve problems using common sense.
    • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Google Drive, SAP, UPS, and FedEx programs.
  • Other Requirements: Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
Work Conditions
  • Ability to maintain concentrated attention to detail for extended periods.
  • Physically demanding tasks requiring standing, walking, stooping, reaching, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, or crawling for 8 or more hours.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 550 pounds regularly.
  • Use of tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.
  • Work may require close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Non-climate-controlled work area with temperatures ranging from 20F to 115F.
  • Dusty and dirty work environment.
  • Fast-paced work environment with changing requirements based on customer needs.
