Kelly Services is looking for a Senior Applications Specialist for one of the leaders in package printing services located in the Atlanta, GA area but role would be traveling domestically about 70% of the time (on average).

This role is a direct hire role. This is a salaried role that pays between $120k-$125k annually. Position comes with full benefits including 25 days of PTO, Premium health insurance, life insurance, 401k match, etc.

This role is critical in supporting the sales staff in plate production, evaluations, process audits, lab analyses, and troubleshooting at various customer facilities. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with extensive experience in pre-press, plate-making, and press processes in the flexographic industry. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Introduce printers to new and existing plate materials.
  • Perform pre-press, platemaking, and press process audits.
  • Set up digital plate materials on platesetters.
  • Provide technical and sales support for digital products.
  • Conduct optimization, fingerprint, and characterization trials.
  • Troubleshoot issues in the platemaking and press side promptly.
  • Deliver professional training at customer locations or in the FXC.
  • Support the Technical Director in strategy development, documentation, and training.
  • Maintain accurate records of activities in SalesForce.
  • Collaborate with commercial leaders to create and execute technical strategies.

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel is expected to be 50-80%, including domestic and potential international travel (passport required). Company covers hotel, meals, and car rentals.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the flexography industry, specifically in flexo photopolymer plates.
  • Bachelor's degree in graphics communications or a related field.
  • Medium knowledge of Esko software (screening, curves, file treatment), Adobe, and basic Excel/PowerPoint/Word.
  • Strong technical skills in platemaking, color management, and press-side processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong time management and project management abilities.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong observational and listening skills.
