Description

Kelly is seeking a Roving Compliance Specialist to work with our non-profit client, a provider of affordable housing and other support services. This is an excellent opportunity with a mission-driven organization that has been changing lives for 50 years!

The Roving Compliance Specialist will perform tasks relating to a compliance/audit project for affordable housing programs. 

  • Salary: $60-65k
  • Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
  • Based out of corporate office in Saint Paul, MN
  • Will be working at locations in the Twin Cities and will be reimbursed for mileage
  • Verify data (income, assets and liabilities, household members, etc.) by comparing statements with supporting documentation
  • Complete calculations to determine annual adjusted income
  • Document calculations and verification of items by completing work papers
  • Meet with residents as needed to review annual requirements, collect documents, and obtain signatures for file completion and submission
  • Address any review findings by correcting errors or obtaining additional documentation
  • Update information in the property management system (Yardi)
Qualifications:
  • Must know how to process Annual Recertification
  • Hud 59 experience
  • Section 42 tax credits experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Mathematical/accounting aptitude and critical thinking skills
  • Passion for customer service and motivation for helping people
  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently once trained in
  • Must be able to travel to other Twin Cities office locations
  • Bilingual skills in Spanish, Hmong, or Somali are an added bonus
  • Property management experience
