Position: Rotary Die Cutter (Direct Hire) Pay Rate: $25+ per hour (Increase due to exp)
Job Type: Full-Time
Shift: 2nd Shift - Monday – Friday | 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM

Job Summary
A rotary die cutter is a machine operator responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring a rotary die cutting machine to precisely cut materials like paper, cardboard, or plastic into specific shapes by utilizing a rotating cylindrical die, ensuring quality and production efficiency while adhering to job specifications; tasks include loading materials, adjusting machine settings, inspecting cuts, and performing basic maintenance checks.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Machine setup:
  • Installing the correct cutting die based on the job order. 
  • Adjusting feed guides and registration settings for precise material feeding. 
  • Checking and adjusting machine pressure and cutting depth. 
  • Operation:
  • Loading materials onto the machine feed table. 
  • Monitoring the cutting process, identifying and addressing any issues like misfeeds or quality defects. 
  • Making adjustments to machine settings as needed to maintain consistent cutting quality. 
  • Quality control:
  • Inspecting cut pieces for accuracy, ensuring proper dimensions and clean edges. 
  • Performing random quality checks throughout production runs. 
  • Reporting any quality issues to supervisors. 
  • Maintenance:
  • Performing basic cleaning and lubrication of the machine. 
  • Identifying and reporting any mechanical issues to maintenance personnel. 
  • Following safety procedures to ensure machine operation within safety guidelines. 
    Qualifications & Skills
    • Understanding of rotary die cutting principles and processes.
    • Ability to read and interpret job tickets and technical specifications.
    • Mechanical aptitude for machine setup and troubleshooting.
    • Strong attention to detail and quality control practices.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
