Research Scientist – Molecular Imaging

Kelly® Science & Clinical is currently recruiting for one qualified, permanent Research Scientist in the Molecular Imaging group for one of our clients in the Mattawan MI area. Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation:
$105K/yr – 125K/yr

Schedule:  M-F, 8AM – 5PMEST – this position is open to all candidates inside and outside of the US; relocation assistance is offered and work VISA candidates are eligible and will be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

Summary of position:

  • This position supports small and large molecule drug development through the application of translational, nuclear imaging, quantitative autoradiography, and radiopharmaceutical production.
  • Primary translational, nuclear imaging platforms and other applicable imaging platforms consist of Positron Emission Tomography (PET), Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT), Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) platforms.
  • Primary radiopharmaceutical production efforts are focused on development of novel and industry standard automated and manual radiolabeling and production methods to enable in vivo and ex vivo imaging to assess differing parameters of small and large molecules using applicable radioisotopes
  • By utilizing these platforms/assays, the team can execute preclinical studies in small and large animal models in both regulated and non-regulated preclinical studies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) with 7-9 years of relevant working experience OR Master's degree (MS) with 3-4 years of relevant work experience OR Doctorate degree (PhD) with 1-2 years of relevant working experience
  • Must have SPECT/PET/CT experience in in vivo studies as well as strategic skills, critical thinking, ability to interact internally with the team and externally with clients and sponsors
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels inside and outside the organization 
  • Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Computer skills, commensurate with Essential Functions, including the ability to learn a validated system
  • Ability to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to evenings, weekends, extended shifts, and/or extra shifts, sometimes on short notice.
