Payroll Administrator – Specialist
Onsite – East Windson NJ
Salary – DOE $70K-$80K range with great benefit
Hybrid schedule – 4 days in office (must be commutable to office weekly)


Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about payroll? We're looking for a Payroll Administrator for our Pharma client!
In this role, you'll be responsible for managing multi-state payroll operations while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
If you're an expert in payroll administration and thrive in fast-paced environments, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
You'll handle everything from time entry and tax deposits to W-2 preparation and audit requests—all while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage payroll and HRIS system maintenance.
  • Prepare and process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for multiple entities and states.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and irregularities in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain payroll procedures to ensure smooth processing.
  • Keep track of employee leave balances, benefit payroll deductions, garnishments, and 3rd party sick pay.
  • Develop and distribute payroll reports, including taxes, payroll registers, general ledger, overtime, and retirement contributions.
  • Handle state withholding registration and maintenance.
  • Review and distribute quarterly payroll tax reports as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal payroll regulations; respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies.
  • Stay informed about new payroll legislation, advising management on necessary changes.
  • Monitor and verify timesheets, time-off requests, and leave balances for accurate payroll submission.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience, or equivalent work experience in a payroll environment
  • Solid understanding of federal and state wage and hour laws, including payroll taxes, withholding, deductions, and garnishments.
  • Hands-on experience in payroll and/or HR environments.
  • Proficiency in payroll systems (experience with Paylocity is preferred).
  • Strong understanding of payroll processing, procedures, and tax reporting.
