Job Description:
• Position: Quality Systems Engineer
• Location: Sterling Heights, MI
• Duration: 12 months (Contractor role with ability to extend or be directly hired)
• Pay Rate: $38.36 per hour
• Work Schedule: 9 / 80
• Start Date: TBD
• The Quality Vehicle Systems Engineer is integrated into a dynamic and diverse team responsible for acceptance testing of prototype tracked and wheeled military vehicles, including main battle tanks and armored personnel carriers
• Determine & evaluate test requirements
• Develop & revise acceptance test procedures
• Conduct vehicle verification checkouts to establish baseline of test assets
• Execute functional acceptance test procedures
• Document status of testing compliances and deficiencies
• Communicate test results to internal and external customers as required
• Support other areas of Engineering Quality Assurance as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by Leadership responsible for maintenance
Requirements:
• Must have one (1--3) or more years of experience
• Must meet the anthropometric requirements (ASR) to entry into the driver's station or into an enclosed military vehicle
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
• Ability to work in a shop environment
• Ability to work within an interdependent team
• Standard employment background screening
• Legally permitted to work in the U.S.; U.S. Citizen
• Engineering Degree
