Kelly Science & Clinical has an Immediate Opening for a Quality Manager - Personal Care Manufacturing for our growing client near Chicago, IL

Full-time

Direct Hire

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year + benefits

This role is 80% on the manufacturing floor and 20% desk-Must be able to be on feet for 8 hours

Are you an experienced leader with a passion for quality and hands-on problem-solving? We're looking for a Quality Manager to play a key role in ensuring the highest standards for our personal care products. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by Example: Oversee day-to-day operations on the manufacturing floor, ensuring quality standards are met while leading up to 20 employees. Your hands-on leadership will be vital for troubleshooting and ensuring the smooth running of the production lines.
  • Proactive Quality Management: Drive continuous improvement of processes, identify potential issues before they arise, and ensure all quality system activities are documented and up to standard.
  • Audit and Compliance: Conduct internal audits of GMP practices, pest control, water systems, and calibration procedures to ensure the facility meets or exceeds industry standards.
  • Collaborate for Success: Work closely with customer service teams to ensure customer specifications and requirements are fully integrated into the manufacturing process.
  • Documentation Excellence: Manage and maintain the integrity of all master batch and production documentation, ensuring changes are tracked with precision.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Hands-On Leadership: We are looking for a Quality Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, capable of balancing both floor and desk duties effectively. Must be comfortable with being on your feet for extended periods of time and overseeing multiple shifts (1st and 2nd).
  • GMP Expertise: Strong background in GMP, especially in personal care or food manufacturing, is key.
  • Exceptional Communication: Ability to manage customer complaints, conduct investigations, and liaise effectively with all levels of staff and customers. Fluent in both written and spoken communication with an ability to present to management and regulatory bodies.
  • Proven Experience: At least 2-3 years in a similar role within personal care manufacturing. Experience with contract manufacturing is a plus.
