Quality Assurance Engineer
Salary Range: $80K and up (based on experience & company discretion)
Location: Carson City, NV
Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Kelly Engineering, a leading staffing agency, is recruiting for a Quality Assurance Engineer on behalf of our client, a renowned company specializing in advanced manufacturing solutions for the aerospace and defense industries. Job Summary:
The Quality Assurance Engineer will ensure that systems, products, and procedures meet rigorous technical standards. Responsibilities include testing systems, identifying technical issues, and creating quality and safety documentation. You will also recommend solutions to improve product performance and durability. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the company's core values and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to inspectors and schedule customer inspections
  • Prepare and manage FAI reports (AS9100 compliance) and track status logs
  • Create SPC sheets, monitor trends, and perform contract reviews
  • Conduct part inspections, revise job travelers, and ensure CNC operations meet production standards
  • Manage the raw material library and define specialty tooling
  • Perform internal audits and system accuracy tests on equipment
  • Identify and recommend corrective action for potential issues
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and maintain an organized workspace

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with inspection tooling, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and surface texture
  • Experience with AS9100 requirements and working in Job Boss (or similar MRP systems)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to read drawings and independently inspect work
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and adapt to changes and improvements
  • Authorization to work in the United States is required for this position, and compliance with U.S. export control regulations may apply.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and operate equipment for extended periods
  • Capable of lifting or moving up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Work environment may expose you to varying temperatures, chemicals, and machinery
