Kelly Science & Clinical has a new permanent opportunity QC Technician in Plainfield, IN!
Pay: $24-$28/hour
Shift: M-F 8am-5pm
A Direct Hire Opportunity
The Quality Control Technician is responsible for ensuring product quality and compliance with specifications. This role involves conducting routine inspections, testing products, and assisting in product development.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform incoming inspections on raw materials.
- Conduct physical property testing on manufactured products.
- Identify quality deviations and recommend batch adjustments.
- Review batch documentation, deviations, and investigations.
- Verify manufacturing and bottling line set-ups.
- Conduct product application testing.
- Maintain retain samples and quality documents.
- Establish and maintain electronic records.
- Participate in management review board investigations and provide monthly data.
- Participate in the raw material approval process.
- Assist with the disposition of off-spec products, raw materials and excess inventory.
- Assist the Product Development Chemist with mixing lab scale samples for application and testing. Record experiments accurately in a laboratory notebook.
- Follow safety policies and wear appropriate PPE.
- Work collaboratively with other departments.
- Review and assist with record keeping and documentation.
- College degree in a scientific discipline or related field preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software.
- Experience with ISO standards and quality control practices (desirable).
