Schedule:  Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm EST
Location:  1 River Road, Schenectady, NY 12302
Position:  Contracts Specialist

Pay: $28-$30/hr


Job Summary:

This position will be responsible for compiling contract data for North American project sites for auditing. As a contract specialist you will analyze contracts, input wind turbine data into GE applications, help drive cost savings solutions by optimizing strategies at an operational level. 


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

•    Collaborating with the Operations teams and supporting enabling function to maximize financial and operational performance of a project
•    Update and maintain all systems of record with accurate, timely information
•    Perform research on contract to extract required information to input in excel spread sheet
•    Maintains database by entering new and updated contract data
•    Prepares source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information
•    Resolves deficiencies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution
•    Maintains GE Vernova's confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
•    Performs high-volume data entry using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or other computer software
•    Reviews data for errors or missing information and resolves any discrepancies
•    Performs administrative backup when asked by client

Required Qualifications & Experience:

•    2+ years working with contract data 
•    Able to connect and communicate across all levels of internal colleagues/stakeholders.
•    Proficiency in MS Excel, Moderate Proficiency in all other MS Office programs; Access, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
•    Fluent and proficient in both spoken and written English 
•    Detail Oriented 
•    Systematic

•    Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent experience
•    Capability to learn new software quickly and integrate knowledge into solutions
•    Ability to multitask in a demanding work environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
•    Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to handle high pressure, time sensitive issues
•    Exceptional planning, organizing and follow-up skills
•    Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, both proactive and reactive
•    A self-starter, passion for improvement, and desire to learn
•    Good oral and written communication skills
