Kelly® is hiring Machine Operators to work at Kerry Foods in Norwich NY 13815

$21 per hour (18.50 base+2.50 shift diff)

3rd shift – rotating 12 hours from 7:15 PM to 7:45 AM. 3 on, 3 off then 2 on, 2 off

Weekly pay

Long term temp project, minimum 3 months. Chance for workers to be hired direct based on performance and attendance.

The location works with pharmaceutical grade powder and liquid product to create hydrolyzed proteins to preserve food products.  This site may have strong foul smell one day and not the next day depending on what they are making.

What's a typical day as a Machine Operator? 
• Operate blending machine
• Perform quality testing to ensure product meets specifications.
• Operate forklift to move products and load/unload trucks (experience preferred but company will train)
• Package products for shipment
• Wrap and move pallets
• Prepare and complete warehouse orders for delivery or pickup
• Assist other operators with jobs such as cleaning filter presses, relieving other operators for breaks, or operate any piece of equipment in any department as needed.
• Ensure transactions in software system (SAP) are accurate.
• During periods of down time, perform general departmental maintenance, such as painting, cleaning and operational maintenance of department machinery.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:
• High school diploma or GED
• 6 months recent manufacturing, production, assembly or warehouse experience, preferably in a chemical or food processing facility
• Basic computer knowledge-use of Microsoft Office products and SAP software preferred
• Must be able to frequently stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend with full range of body motion.
• Must be able to lift 55 pounds at an interval of 1 box every 2 minutes.
• Forklift experience preferred.
