Packaging Production Supervisor | Direct Hire
Groveport, OH



Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 

  • Maintain inventory levels of raw materials and finished products, and coordinate with purchasing and logistics departments.
  • Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Quality control: Maintaining quality service and establishing and enforcing production standards in compliance with regulatory requirements, including cGMP, FDA, ODA, Halal and Kosher
  • Includes accurately completing all necessary documentation for regulatory compliance
  • Ensuring a safe and clean work environment, and enforcing safety regulations
  • Collecting and analyzing production data, and creating reports for managers
  • Identifying and solving issues that arise on the production floor, working with TechOps to manage the repair or replacement of faulty production equipment to limit downtime and ensure a safe and efficient workflow
  • Informing a production team of preferred occupational health and safety practices
  • Communicating expectations to production team members and evaluating their performance
  • Implementing relevant emergency response procedures during emergency situations
  • Compiling reports about production and providing management with updates
  • Conducting staff reviews, managing worker issues, and hiring and training new staff, ensuring all resources and assets are used efficiently and correctly
Qualifications
 
  • CPIM certification a plus
  • Strong communication skills to actively listen to stakeholders and clearly verbalize ideas and action plans
  • Excellent organizational skills to plan production schedules and ensure the availability of necessary materials and equipment
  • Strong analytical skills to determine problems within the production process and take appropriate action
  • Good time-management skills to minimize downtime and ensure a team works efficiently
  • The ability to cope with pressure and make sound decisions quickly
  • A firm understanding of safety, health and regulatory requirements, including cGMP, FDA, ODA, Halal and Kosher
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds on a regular, as needed basis each shift.
  • Must be proficient with MS Office software and general PC skills
  • Must have working knowledge of or be able to gain proficiency in a very timely manner with related inventory and warehouse management applications and software
  • Must be able to perform duties while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) and hygienic, sanitary protective gear and clothing
