This is a direct hire opportunity, meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their benefit and vacation package upon hire!
Shift:
- DAYS – 7am-7pm
- NIGHTS – 7pm-7am
- Rotating Schedule
- Every other weekend off!
Salary as a Production Supervisor:
- $65,000 - $90,000 (based on experience)
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the packaging manufacturing plant. This role ensures that production processes run smoothly and efficiently, meeting the company's quality standards, safety protocols, and production targets. The Production Supervisor will lead and mentor a team of production workers, coordinate with various departments, and report directly to the Plant Manager.
- Oversee daily production operations to ensure timely and efficient production of packaging products.
- Monitor production schedules, adjust priorities as needed, and ensure that production targets are met.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate production staff, ensuring they adhere to company policies and safety standards.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate production goals, changes, and updates.
- Ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to identify and address any quality issues.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
- Enforce safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage inventory control processes to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Maintain accurate production records and generate reports on production performance, efficiency, and quality metrics.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in packaging.
- Strong knowledge of production management, quality control, and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
