Job Opportunity: Sanitation Worker – Penn Yan, NY
Kelly® Professional & Industrial is hiring Sanitation Workers for a leading food manufacturing company in Penn Yan, NY. Pay: $19.00 – $19.50/hr. Temp to Hire
Schedule: 10-hour shifts, with flexible scheduling options from Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat, 4 days per week.

What You'll Do:
- Sanitize Production Areas: Clean and sanitize walls, shelves, conveyor belts, floors, and other areas within the facility to meet hygiene and safety standards.
- Disassemble and Reassemble Equipment: Safely take apart equipment such as mixers, conveyors, and packaging machines for thorough cleaning, and reassemble them once cleaning is completed.
- Follow Food Safety Guidelines: Strictly adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the cleanliness and safety of food products.
- Inspection & Reporting: Inspect areas and equipment for cleanliness and report any issues to supervisors to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Waste Management: Collect and properly dispose of waste materials and debris generated during sanitation activities.
- General Maintenance: Perform general facility cleaning duties, ensuring that the facility remains in top shape and is fully prepared for production.
- Compliance: Ensure the facility and production areas meet all industry cleanliness, safety, and quality standards. Stay up to date on sanitation protocols and assist in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
What We're Looking For:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods. Must be able to perform physical tasks that require bending, lifting, and moving equipment.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication skills. A strong team-oriented mindset is essential.
- Experience: Previous experience in food industry sanitation, manufacturing, or cleaning is preferred but not required.
- Work Ethic: A reliable and self-motivated individual who is committed to maintaining a safe, clean, and hygienic environment.
