Packaging Lab Technician – Warsaw, IN
Kelly Outsourcing Consulting Group KellyOCG , a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is currently seeking a Packaging Lab Technician at one of our Global clients in Warsaw, IN. This role is a full-time, fully benefitted position.

Job Description: Packaging Lab Technician will be primarily responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of Packaging lab.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing standard and specialized tests on package materials and sterile barrier systems; Knowledge of relevant Industry Standards and departmental procedures; Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment; and utilizing relevant GxP.
- Capable of working in a customer focused environment and with the capability to prioritize and manage multiple projects to meet required timelines.
- Execution of frequent communication with the Packaging Engineers across the company franchises. Additional internal departmental interactions include Product Development, Production, Distribution, Facilities, and Quality. External vendor interactions include Test Laboratories, Shipping Companies, Calibration Services, Third Party Manufacturers, and Contract Packagers.
- Manage test requests based on departmental demand and business priorities.
- Provide general supervision, training, and workload scheduling of other technicians.
- Perform package qualification testing to support package design and packaging process qualification.
- Testing includes, but is not limited to Package Integrity, Seal Strength, Visual Inspection, and Shelf Life studies.
- Organize and document data, perform basic statistical analysis on test results, and write test reports.
- Create and revise departmental work instructions related to equipment operation and test methods.
- Create, execute, and document validations IQ/OQ/PQ of laboratory test equipment and test methods.
- Develop and oversee calibration and preventative maintenance schedules of packaging laboratory test equipment.
- Participate in the WW Packaging Team and implement WW initiatives that affect the Package Lab.
- Operate handheld and bench top measurement instruments and data acquisition programs.
- Support the product/package complaint investigation process by analyzing, defining and mapping defects as needed.
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Understanding of basic QSR and ISO quality requirements.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Technical writing experience.
- Capable of lifting of large boxes test samples and has sufficient dexterity to use precision measurement instruments.
- Problem solving skills and ability to work independently
