Position Details:

• Position: Mold Repair Specialist
• Pay Rate: $17/hr
• Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Enjoy a three-day weekend: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday!)
• Location: Hartsville, SC
• Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Job Responsibilities:

• Mold Inspection regularly examine molds for defects such as pits, holes, or surface blemishes.
• Perform filling, grinding, sanding, and smoothing of damaged areas; replace or repair mold components as needed.
• Ensure molds remain in optimal condition by cleaning, waxing, and sanding between production cycles. Perform necessary patching and repairs.
• Utilize hand and power tools, including grinders, sanders, drills, and buffers, for effective mold maintenance.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, respirators, and protective suits.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Prior experience in mold maintenance, repair, or a related field is required (at least one year in a plastic injection molding facility is a plus).
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Understanding of electronics, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems is beneficial.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively to interpret work orders and collaborate with team members.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and perform tasks that involve standing, bending, and working in various positions.
• Strong mechanical skills and proficiency with hand and pneumatic tools are essential.
• Ability to inspect and repair molds with precision to maintain high-quality production standards.
