Join a Leading Manufacturer as a Mill Operator Assistant

About Our Client:

Location: Youngstown, OH
Position: Mill Operator Helper (Direct Hire)
Hourly Rate: $20.75

Work Schedule:

Current Shift Rotation:
  • 12-hour shifts: 7 AM – 7 PM / 7 PM – 7 AM (This is temporary until we catch up with production demands.)
Standard Shift Rotation:
  • 8-hour shifts: 7 AM – 3 PM / 3 PM – 11 PM / 11 PM – 7 AM


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support machine operators in setup, teardown, and operation.
  • Load coils onto pay-off reels.
  • Operate jib cranes with precision.
  • Set up and dismantle exit-end racking efficiently.
  • Stack finished goods into packaging to ensure quality.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Competency in using measurement tools (e.g., tape measures, calipers, micrometers).
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Proficient in reading manufacturing orders, quality check sheets, and part drawings.


Requirements:

  • Steel-toed boots and long pants mandatory.
  • Comfortable in physically demanding settings with heavy machinery/materials.
  • Reliable transportation is essential.
