Chief Therapeutic Medical Physicist (PhD) & Therapeutic Medical Physicists

Kelly Government Solutions is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Therapeutic Medical Physicist to join our team in Long Beach, CA. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, making a meaningful impact on the lives of our nation's veterans.

 

We are also looking for a BC, Chief Therapeutic Medical Physicist, PhD to fill the leadership role for the facility.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all physics and dosimetry operations, ensuring compliance with national guidelines.
• Perform advanced QA procedures, acceptance testing, and commissioning of linear accelerators.
• Provide peer reviews of treatment plans to maintain the highest standards of care.
• Develop and maintain quality management programs (QMPs) for radiotherapy equipment.
• Ensure radiation protection for patients and staff, adhering to safety standards.
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists during complex simulations and treatment setups.

 

Qualifications:

• Board Certification: Must be Board Certified in Medical Physics or Therapeutic Medical Physics by the American Board of Radiology (ABR).
• Licensure: Maintain licensure with the Board of Licensure for Professional Medical Physicists, if applicable.
• Certification Maintenance: Certification must be maintained throughout the contract period of performance (POP).
• Documentation: If not directly employed by the treating facility, documentation must be provided to ensure adequate certification.
