General Purpose of the Job:
The Mechanical Engineer will leverage expertise in problem-solving, sustaining and design for manufacturing to improve product manufacturability, cost, and quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design Improvement: Analyze and enhance product designs that impact manufacturability, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Project Ownership: Lead projects through the engineering change control process, ensuring proper documentation and cross-functional communication with purchasing, quality, and manufacturing teams.
- Product Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of the Kason product line to provide support to internal and external customers.
- CAD Modeling: Create CAD models, assemblies, drawings, and technical documentation with detailed specifications. Control product and BOM changes using PLM and ERP systems.
- Engineering Analysis: Perform engineering analysis on complex problems and propose corrective actions utilizing simulation tools, statistical analysis, and product R&D testing.
