Description
Kelly is currently seeking an experienced Materials Specialist for a long-term opportunity in the Orange, Texas area! The Materials Specialist works with planners and work coordinators to procure material and setup contractor POs, receives and marshals material, arranges infrastructure needs, as well as communicates closely with work coordinators and contractor leadership to track and issue material for event execution. The Materials Specialist also prepares job packages and inputs plan into SAP indicating resources, material, and services, among many other related tasks.
PRIMARY Responsibilities
- Does field checks of equipment and jobs. Uses feedback from person doing the work to optimize job plans.
- Identifies task activities necessary to execute job and identifies tools/materials/equipment needed.
- Checks sizing of components and parts, verifies material job kits are correct.
- Specifies, requisitions, and coordinates maintenance spare parts.
- Assists in planning, prioritizing, and scheduling maintenance through work coordinator and operations input.
- Monitors and tracks materials, tools, and equipment orders.
- Arranges materials, tools, and equipment in a manner that can be identified and picked up according to job needs.
- Works within established Maintenance Work Processes and helps resolve issues that surface as a result of planning and scheduling work.
- Communicates to the team via status updates on orders including any issues such as delayed delivery.
- Gathers information and inputs into appropriate maintenance measures/key performance indicators. Uses metrics to measure material coordination tasks and develops actions to improve the processes.
Requirements
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 years of maintenance equipment experience is required.
- Working knowledge of basic industry plant equipment (pumps, blowers, hydraulic and pneumatic systems) is required.
- Must have knowledge and experience using SAP
- Must have a current, valid US driver's license.
- Must be 18 years old or older.
- Must be willing to work weekends, and holidays, if required.
- Must be willing to work overtime (extra hours beyond your regular scheduled) if required.
- A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
Physical Requirements
The following physical demands are required with or without an accommodation:
- Wear safety equipment, such as earplugs, goggles, and steel-toed shoes
- Wear and use respirators.
- Perform frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
- Work in tight or closed-in spaces.
- Climb stairs/ladders and work high off the ground.
- Stand or walk for extended periods of time.
- Lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
