Description

KEY TASKS
Review and approve Purchase Orders and Schedule Agreements.
Manage rework processes and address Non-Conforming Materials.
Set safety stock levels, reorder points, and stock days through detailed analysis.
Ensure inventory accuracy, taking corrective actions when needed.
Implement strategies to improve supplier delivery performance.
Review and analyze planning reports, updating plans to meet demand requirements.
Audit supply orders for accuracy before distributing them to production teams or suppliers.
Optimize procurement methods for production materials, maintaining desired inventory levels to align with corporate inventory goals.
Expedite urgent orders to production or suppliers in response to unexpected demand shifts, ensuring timely adjustments.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement, and suppliers to prevent supply interruptions or identify alternative sources.
Communicate plan changes or exceptions to relevant departments to keep all parties informed.
Investigate and resolve manufacturing issues related to Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, or documentation errors.
Develop and implement strategies to reduce inventory and lead times, supporting production schedules.
Participate in system or process enhancements to adapt to evolving requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage inbound logistics for production materials, ensuring timely deliveries at optimal costs and minimizing transportation expenses. Maintain material master parameters in the ERP system and manage inventory levels effectively.
AUTHORITIES
Modify material master parameters related to transportation, lot size, safety stock, and other materials planning factors. Authorize expedited transportation when needed and handle cancellations or scrap decisions for obsolete parts through appropriate channels.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED required.
1 to 3 years of experience in logistics, inventory control, procurement, or materials planning.
