Floor Technician - Second Shift (Manufacturing Technician)
Location: Lakeville, CT
Shift: Second Shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM)
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated Floor Technician to join our team on the second shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM). The successful candidate will be responsible for operating various molding and assembly machines, ensuring product quality, performing material handling, and performing routine maintenance in a manufacturing environment. This role offers a great opportunity for those interested in working in a dynamic team and fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, start up, and operate molding machines, semi-automatic and automatic assembly machines, or manual assembly machines.

  • Perform necessary color changes and material handling.

  • Conduct visual and functional quality inspections at predetermined intervals to ensure products meet quality standards.

  • Handle materials and monitor auxiliary equipment.

  • Perform minor maintenance and troubleshoot issues as needed.

  • Conduct necessary gaging to ensure products meet dimensional standards.

  • Correctly label products and palletize them for transfer to the next operation.

  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with job requirements.

  • Communicate effectively with both prior and oncoming shifts to ensure production goals are met.

  • Report any machine or quality issues immediately to the supervisor.

  • Promote safety by adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.

  • Follow all procedures outlined by ISO 9001, OSHA, and IATF 16949 standards.

  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Prior experience in manufacturing; experience in plastic injection molding is a plus.

  • Basic math skills and reasoning ability.

  • Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift.

  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. occasionally, with or without assistance.

  • Strong team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
