Description

This position provides technician support to a Medical Device and Disposables manufacturing operation.  Primary responsibilities include manufacturing equipment preventative maintenance, fabrication/repair of tooling & test equipment for production and providing technical guidance to manufacturing personnel.  Other responsibilities include collaboration with Engineering on new tooling/process development, aid in equipment qualifications (IQ/OQ/PQ), and other general maintenance of business activities to support production.

EDUCATION:
Required Education:
   HS Diploma or equivalent/GED
   Associate degree or equivalent work experience.  Specialized training/certification may be considered for equivalency.

Preferred Education:
   Associate degree in electrical or mechanical discipline

EXPERIENCE:
Required Experience:

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of related experience including providing support of manufacturing operation and equipment
  • Experience in general problem solving and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical manufacturing equipment

Preferred Experience:  
  • Experience in the installation and maintenance of industrial automation equipment
  • Experience in an FDA/GMP regulated environment including ¿Clean Rooms¿ and associated restrictions/requirements
  • Knowledge of 5S and other LEAN principles and practices (e.g. Kaizen events, Poka-Yoke process design)
SKILLS / QUALIFCATIONS:
Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
  • Familiarity in the setup and use of general measurements and test equipment (e.g. Calipers, DMM, Pressure gage)
  • Demonstrated history of dependable and reliable work with strong attendance record
  • Ability to follow written instructions (SOPs) and aid in drafting required changes
  • Familiarity in the interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications, including the ability to document required changes/updates

 Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
   Ability to operate lathe and milling machine
   Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits to a component level and perform electrical assembly
