Kelly Services is looking for an Process Technician for a busy Metals manufacturer located in Lake Mary, FL 32746.
Payrate- $16-$25/hour depends on experience
Mon-Friday 7am-4:30pm
Job Summary: Process Technician
The Process Technician is responsible for creating and developing drawings for the shop floor, assisting with the input of the ERP System (Routings, BOM, etc.), managing the ECN process, designing and laying out cells, conducting time studies and standards, and assisting production with continuous improvement ideas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Create drawings as needed with the title block to assure control over part revision.
- Develop drawings capable of running through the laser post-processor software.
- Create blanks or blank modifications to meet customer requirements.
- Input bill of materials and routing sequences into production folders as part of the contract review process for part production and costing.
- Design and develop manufacturing cells and work instructions; create standards and conduct time studies.
- Oversee the ECN process, interfacing with all departments to complete ECNs.
- Monitor new, revised, or existing programs from inception to completion (New Product Launches, Shop Floor Production Projects).
- Assist with the development of current and new processes.
- Work with customers to resolve engineering/estimating issues on new projects and assist in designing parts when needed.
- Identify and document continuous improvement opportunities with department associates.
- Associates Degree in Drafting, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, AutoCAD, and Solid Works Modeling.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical prints.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and report information to the supervisor.
