What's a typical day as a Maintenance Technician I You'll be:
Responsible for the operation, servicing, and repair of high-pressure steam boilers, pumps, motors, gas controls, emergency power generators, forced draft systems, safety devices, boiler controls, air compressors and dryers, wastewater, and recording devices.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ability to operate and regulate boiler plant equipment and make adjustments as required for plant output.
• Maintains maximum boiler efficiency by adjusting, reading, and interpreting gauges, indicators, and steam flow meters.
• Inspect safety devices daily, running tests and reporting any unusual situations
• Maintain required records on boiler/plant efficiency, water treatment, oil/chemical consumption, including leakage monitoring ‘
• Maintain and operate air compressors and refrigerant dryers responsible for providing the plant with compressed air.
• Be responsible for monitoring and responding to wastewater alarms.
• Be responsible for boiler water treatment programs and conduct water sample tests
• Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and preventative maintenance programs.
• Perform minor pipe repairs
• Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams, written orders, control gauges, manufacturer's operating instructions books, and to record boiler plant information
• Ability to understand and follow complex oral or written instructions on proper plant operation.
• Perform other related duties as assigned

- • Technical/trade school graduation or equivalent apprenticeship and three years of related experience
Nice to have:
- You have completed a training program and are familiar with boiler systems, repair, and maintenance. The primary responsibilities of this role include preventative maintenance and water treatment.
