Maintenance Manager (McElhattan, PA)

Our client in medical devices is in need of a Maintenance Operations Leader (Maintenance Supervisor). 24/7/365 facility – willing to take calls after hours. • Managing 30 – 35 team members. Associates Degree, 5 years of industrial maintenance experience  preferred in a High-Speed Manufacturing Environment. 

Purpose and role of job:
Lead all maintenance team members on crew and manage company assets to safely maximize machine equipment and its components.

Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:
Follows and ensures accountability for all necessary regulations (i.e.: GMP, FDA, and ISO).
Monitors all maintenance work orders and sets crew/shift goals.
Collaborates in planning daily maintenance.
Provide direction and resources as necessary for off shift/afterhours support.
Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so.
Communication/Collaboration Responsibilities.
Ensures proper communications and plans to shift support and crews.
Verifies communication of process changes and quality procedure/specification changes.
Supports the support teams with key initiatives and special projects.
Safety Leadership.
Demonstrates and verifies 100% compliance of safety best practices with team members.
Drives a zero-loss time mentality with team through continuous improvement practices.
Assures personal participation and team verification for 100% compliance of monthly safety audits, Safety Committees, safety observations, LMS training, etc.
People Leadership.
Understands and models the values and culture of the company.
Serves as a positive team player that works to find solutions and builds team morale.
Leads, coaches and mentors all direct team members and indirect support teams to achieve goals and successful execution of the maintenance plan on the shift.
Empowers others and models accountability.
Builds trusting and caring relationships with all team members.
Leads cross-company teamwork and collaboration.
Drives execution on completion of tasks.
Completes on time, well-written reviews.
Provides continuous feedback to team members.
Partners with Maintenance Manager and Training Department to schedule and support skills training and individual development of team members.
Evaluates/verifies technical skills of team members to identify skill gaps and training needs.
Business Management & Administrative Responsibilities.
Leads a robust asset management and housekeeping program.
Assists with developing, distributing, and executing preventative maintenance schedules for equipment. Continuously re-evaluating PM program for optimal efficiency.
Assists with trouble shooting of all machinery, equipment, and components as needed.
Assists with business improvement projects as applicable.
Provides support for line changeovers.
Manages events and/or incidents per protocols.
Assists in time and attendance record keeping.
Assists in collecting and publishing maintenance metrics and reports.

Education and experience requirements:
Minimum of two years of college courses (preferred).
Minimum of five years' experience within maintenance role (preferred).
Minimum of two years of experience in a leadership capacity.
Knowledge and/or experience with CMMS.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, computer skills, and mathematical skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with Microsoft Office (specifically Outlook & Excel).
