Description

In alignment with company vision, mission, values, and objectives, the Maintenance Electrical Technician will troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve mechanical and electrical systems to maximize uptime and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
5–10 years of hands-on experience in professional industrial maintenance

Proficient knowledge in:
Automated control systems
Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
Safety practices in manufacturing environments
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Team player with effective interpersonal and communication abilities
Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications
2-year technical degree in Industrial Maintenance or Industrial Systems Technology

AS or AAS in Electrical/Electronic Technology, Mechatronics, or Industrial Technology

AS or BS in Electronics Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering Technology

ARC Flash Training

Familiar with:
Lean/WCM principles
CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
Strong electrical skills in:
Controls (VFDs, solenoids, servos)
Power distribution systems
Field devices (limit switches, proximity switches, level probes)
Siemens & Allen Bradley drives
AC motors & VFDs

Skilled in rigid conduit bending and installation:
Proficient in use of diagnostic tools (megger meter, multimeter, infrared thermometer, thermal imager)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical equipment
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance
Use schematics, manuals, and precision instruments to identify issues
Fabricate and replace parts as needed using machine shop equipment
Conduct inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records in SAP CMMS
Lead or support root cause analysis (Quick Kaizens) and continuous improvement initiatives
Update and maintain documentation (schematics, SOPs, logs, equipment ledgers)
Train production teams on proper equipment use and basic maintenance
Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Recommend equipment upgrades or process improvements when applicable

Working Conditions
Work is conducted in a non-temperature-controlled manufacturing facility

Exposure to:
Dust, fumes, loud noise (over 80 dB)
Materials such as fiberglass, asphalt, sand, and crushed rock
Regular use of forklifts, booms, industrial sweepers, and other mobile equipment
Physical Demands
Must be able to wear appropriate PPE and follow all safety procedures

Requires:
Walking, bending, twisting, gripping, stair and ladder climbing
Working in confined spaces and uneven terrain
Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally, and 25 lbs. frequently

MH:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment
Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems, including 3-phase up to 480V
Strong working knowledge of VFDs, servos, solenoids, and field devices (e.g., limit switches, proximity switches)
Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals
Proficiency using diagnostic tools (megger meter, multimeter, thermal imager) and Microsoft Office applications
