Machine Operator - 2nd Shift
Location: Lakeville, CT
Reports To: Production and Materials Supervisor
Shift: Monday - Friday, 3PM - 11PM
Pay: $20/hr

Position Summary
As a Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process, operating automated machinery to produce small plastic components for the automotive industry. You will work from detailed written instructions and procedures to ensure consistent, high-quality production.
Essential Responsibilities:

  • Load, start up, and operate molding machines, semi-automatic assembly machines, automatic assembly machines, or manual assembly machines.
  • Perform color changes and material handling.
  • Conduct visual and functional quality inspections.
  • Monitor auxiliary equipment.
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct gaging as required.
  • Accurately label products and palletize finished goods.
  • Maintain accurate documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with prior and oncoming shifts.
  • Immediately report any machine or quality issues to the supervisor.
  • Adhere to all procedures outlined by ISO 9001, OSHA, and IATF 16949.
Position Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience working in plastic injection molding is a plus.
  • Basic math skills and reasoning ability.
  • Ability to stand/walk for a full manufacturing shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. occasionally, with or without assistance.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
