Job Title: Machine Operator ¿ 2nd Shift
Location: New Baltimore, MI
Shift: Monday-Friday, 2:45PM ¿ 11:15PM (Possible weekends)
Pay Rate: $17 per hour
Employment Type: Temporary-to-Hire Opportunity
Job Description:
Kelly Services is seeking skilled Machine Operators to support our manufacturing client in New Baltimore, MI. The role involves operating machinery, inspecting plastic parts, and assembling components with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. This is a second-shift position with a temp-to-hire opportunity based on performance and attendance.
Responsibilities:
¿    Operate machines with a "dual button" finger press system.
¿    Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality standards (most parts weigh less than 10 lbs).
¿    Perform assembly tasks such as adding metal clips, trimming, binding, and packaging.
¿    Follow detailed work instructions and maintain attention to detail.
¿    Stand for 100% of the shift on ergonomic mats, moving between stations as needed.
¿    Collaborate with the team to rotate between different machines and tasks.
¿    Perform quality inspections on auto parts, including bumpers (5 lbs) and door panels for Ford, as well as electronic parts for Brose and Volvo trucks.
Requirements:
¿    Ability to stand throughout the shift and lift up to 10 lbs.
¿    Strong attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions.
¿    Good vision for inspecting visual specs at each station.
¿    Experience with plastics is a plus but not required.
¿    Willingness to adhere to strict safety regulations, including the use of PPE (closed-toe or steel-toed shoes and safety glasses).
¿    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal overtime.
Attire and Safety Requirements:
¿    Closed-toe or steel-toed shoes and safety glasses required.
¿    Jeans permitted (no revealing or offensive clothing).
¿    No sleeveless shirts allowed.
