Kelly Services is partnered with a producer of high-performance industrial sorbents and spill control products in the De Pere, WI area in search of Machine Operators on both 1st and 3rd shift! These positions are full-time and temp-to-hire!

Pay: $18-$23/hr + based on level of experience
*$2.50 shift differential for 3rd shift

Shifts Available:
1st -- 6am-6pm, 2-2-3 straight schedule
3rd -- 6pm-6am, 2-2-3 straight schedule

Job Overview: This individual will be responsible for performing machine specific tasks and ensuring the machine is running at its optimum level.  This position will monitor all physical characteristics, examine specific test and results, and take corrective actions as necessary to ensure quality material is being manufactured.

General Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all safety regulations are followed including but not limited to: Lockout/Tagout, operating with all guards in place, using all PPE, and wearing appropriate clothing for machine operation.
  • Have the physical ability to perform manual labor: lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds, climb, bend, etc.
  • Maintain a good work, performance, and attendance record.
  • Understand daily production schedule and ensure all production materials are available per work order specifications.
  • Maintain equipment and perform minor repairs as needed. (Example: clean machinery components, line area, floors, and tables).
  • Make all necessary machine adjustments such as speed, temperature, and pressures.
  • Inspect all material against customer specifications and report all discrepancies to team leader or Supervisor.
  • Be aware of machine results and take initiative to respond to poor results.
  • Maintain accurate and timely reporting of all production results.
  • Notify team leader or Supervisor of any mechanical malfunction prior to contacting maintenance support.
  • All other tasks as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Have a self-motivated, proactive and a positive “can do” attitude.
  • Ability to listen to and follow instructions.
  • Actively support company initiatives through words and actions.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and must be proficient in reading and writing English.
  • Comply with the policies set forth in the handbook.
  • Be self-motivated, communicate well and have the willingness and adaptability to work under varying conditions.
  • Work overtime, holidays, and weekends as scheduled.
  • Knowledge of how to use hand tools and technical understanding.
Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma is preferred. Technical degree and/or demonstrated and related equivalent experience.
  • Machine operation experience
  • In the past 3 years, must have 1 year of employment at one company
  • Steel toes
  • Must have proven experience working well within a team as well as independently
