Now Hiring: Lead Quality Control Inspector – 1st Shift

Are you a detail-oriented professional with experience in calipers and micrometers? Do you have a passion for quality and a drive to lead a team? We're looking for a Lead Quality Control Inspector to join our respected manufacturing partner in Rochester, NY.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00/hr (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Perform 100% visual inspection and sorting of parts before shipment to ensure zero defects
  • Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure precise measurements
  • Maintain accurate daily shipment quantities and complete detailed audit logs
  • Communicate quality concerns to supervisors and flag non-conforming products
  • Lead the team to verify, sort, and ship parts on time while meeting quality standards
  • Properly identify, label, and organize inspected products
  • Assist and train team members in inspection techniques and equipment usage
  • Keep your work area clean, safe, and organized, adhering to safety protocols
  • Collaborate with quality, production, and engineering teams to improve processes

What We're Looking For:
  • Prior experience in quality control, inspection, or manufacturing (experience with calipers and micrometers required)
  • Leadership experience or the ability to guide a team of inspectors
  • Strong attention to detail and precision
  • Comfortable using visual acuity and precision tools (calipers, micrometers) to inspect small parts
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs infrequently and work in a seated position for extended periods
  • A commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required
