Laboratory Technician – Longmont, CO
Type: Contract
Shift: M-F 8a-5p
Pay Rate: $22-$27/hr DOE
Summary
Kelly SETT is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Technician for supporting research and development projects involving thin-film vacuum deposition processes, testing and laboratory analyses. This position will interface and collaborate closely with our R&D team.
Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Operation of thin-film vacuum deposition systems (training provided)
- Performance testing of coatings
- Operation and maintenance of analytical instruments
- Chemical Composition
- Corrosion tests
- Mechanical properties
- Data analysis and reporting.
Skills, Education and Experience
- HS Diploma
- Relevant experience in a laboratory environment is required (academic lab experience is acceptable).
- Proficiency with MS Office software (Excel and Word).
- Training will be provided for all unfamiliar equipment and processes.
- Self-directed and comfortable with independent work.
- Detail oriented.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with vacuum thin film deposition processes and equipment a plus but not required.
- Associate's degree in chemistry/engineering/science technology
