Lab Supervisor – Eau Claire, WI
Type: Direct Hire
Shift: M-F 8a-4p
Pay Rate: 80K-100K
Responsibilities: Quality Systems Management:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (e.g., FDA, Codex Alimentarius, EU standards, ISO 22000).
- Oversee document control, change management, and quality system audits.
- Manage non-conformance reports and corrective/preventive actions.
- Monitor compliance with local, national, and international regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and prepare for external inspections.
- Ensure adherence to GMP and HACCP standards.
- Manage Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) program, ensuring alignment with regulations (e.g., FDA's 21 CFR Part 106/107).
- Coordinate implementation and documentation of corrective actions.
- Verify effectiveness through audits and data analysis.
- Manage consumer complaints and resolutions.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions based on trends.
- Provide actionable recommendations for quality improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance/compliance, preferably in infant formula or food manufacturing.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, USDA, FSMA).
- Proficiency in quality systems (e.g., CAPA, change control, audit processes).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- HACCP, SQF certification is a plus.
- Strong quality assurance knowledge and experience.
- Industry association involvement preferred.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Daily management of Quality Compliance and Escalations.
- Develops and manages quality metrics and QMS processes.
