Tool Maker Trainee

Kelly® Professional & Industrial is seeking a Tool Maker Trainee to work in Brea, CA for a company that manufactures hardware and fastener solutions for the aerospace. Pay Rate: $20-$25 per hour
Available Shift: 1st shift, Monday to Friday for 10 hours starting at 4am and Saturdays for 8 hours, starting at 4am

What's a typical day as a Tool Maker Trainee? You'll be:
  • Learning to create, repair, and maintain precision tools, molds, and machinery
  • Reading technical blueprints and operating machinery
  • Using various hand tools to fabricate and assemble components
  • Supporting production efficiency and maintaining quality standards

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Have strong mathematics skills/knowledge
  • Are able to read and write in English
  • Are comfortable handling tasks that are tedious in nature
  • Are knowledgeable and skilled with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gages, dial indicators, etc.)
  • Have basic operational knowledge of one or more of the following: engine lathe, manual mill, surface grinding, drill press, or bandsaw
  • Have die polishing experience (a big plus)
  • Have experience working with materials such as H-13, A-2, D-2, S-7, stainless steel, or carbide
