What's a typical day as a Career/Job Continuum Coordinator? You'll be:
  • Assessing students' skills, interests, and career goals through interviews and assessments.
  • Providing individual and group career exploration to assist students in making informed career decisions.
  • Creating career exploration engagement activities to engage students, business, and industry.
  • Developing and implementing career experiences and programs.
  • Providing information on various career options, job roles, educational requirements, and market trends.
  • Assisting students in enhancing their employability skills such as resume writing, interview skills, job search strategies, and networking.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of program(s).
  • Organizing and conducting workshops, information sessions.
  • Staying informed about labor market trends and occupational, educational, and economic opportunities.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Human Resources, or related field
  • Possess experience in career counseling, workforce development, or a related field.
  • Have excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Are knowledgeable about labor market trends and career development practices.
  • Are passionate about helping students achieve their career goals and improving their employability skills.
  • Working with youth or secondary school experience.
 
  • Three years of experience in student placement, career services, advising, customer service, workforce development or related fields.
