Requirements and Responsibilities for an Administrative Assistant:
• Must have at least 2+ yrs. experience of supporting a legal office
• Must have some knowledge of legal terminology
• Must be professional at all times, provide excellent customer service and be a good communicator
• Acts as liaison with local court agencies, clients, and the general public. Receives, screens, and refers phone calls and greets in-person visitors. Responds to general client inquiries and relays information to clients as requested
• Screens incoming mail and scans it to the client's digital file. Prints copies of pleadings or notices, drafts corresponding cover letter, and mails to client.
• Maintains general unit calendar. Sends weekly email with court calendar and/or filing deadlines, consistent with unit protocols
• Applies knowledge of the various aspects of litigation support, including but not limited to, scanning, OCRing, and saving files in the shared drive folder in accordance with unit protocols
• Assists with maintenance of digital and paper file storage. Contacts external vendor to obtain copies of archived files and return files to storage
• Serves as liaison to telecommunications coordinator, researching any discrepancies or problems encountered with any service requests.

• Performs other duties as assigned
• Must have 2+yrs experience utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and maintaining calendars
• Maintain confidentiality and always organized is crucial for this role
• Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner as necessary
• Partner harmoniously with levels within the organization
