Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists with both hourly and strategic recruitment (reviews applications, conducts interviews, and schedules interviews with Managers and Supervisors).
  • Ensures that all employee and applicant documentation, as required by governing agencies, is maintained.
  • Acts as an employee relations specialist, addressing workplace concerns and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs to enhance engagement and morale.
  • Builds relationships with employees and leadership to support retention efforts.
  • Distributes and monitors employee performance evaluations, ensuring timely completion (30 days, 60 days, 90 days, one year, and annually thereafter).
  • Updates, monitors, and maintains eligibility for hourly wage increases.
  • Monitors employee eligibility for benefits plans.
  • Reviews benefits with employees and processes enrollments, cancellations, or changes.
  • Maintains and distributes lists of new and terminated employees under each benefit plan.
  • Verifies benefit billing accuracy and processes payments.
  • Performs a wide range of duties related to the maintenance and processing of personnel records and reports.
  • Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification and periodically audits Forms I-9.
  • Maintains employee personnel files in compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Reports vacation, FMLA, and holiday use to payroll.
  • Processes payroll changes using a computerized system.
  • Monitors tardiness and absenteeism reports, ensuring proper documentation is issued for excessive occurrences.
  • Manages and tracks all employee disciplinary actions.
  • Maintains and processes all Unemployment Notices of Entitlement and potential charges in a timely, efficient manner.
  • Attends unemployment hearings as necessary

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Finance or Business Administration
  • Prior manufacturing experience
  • Strong written and oral communication
  • Resilient personality
  • Organized individual who can take ownership of projects
  • Flexibility to support the 24/7 facility, occasionally rotating with HR team, to ensure a HR representative is visible at the start of the night-shift
  • Prior experience implementing HRIS and AI systems, supporting the streamlining of HR processes
  • Has good strategic vision and can suggest and develop new ideas through to completion
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Ability to adapt to change
