Kelly Services is seeking experienced HR Rep in Kankakee, IL. This is direct hire opportunity, paying $25-28/hr., depending on experience.

Salary: $25/hr. - $28/hr., depending on experience
Hours: daytime 1st shift

As an HR Representative, you will perform the following job duties:
Recruitment and Staffing:
Job Posting: Creating job descriptions. Working with temporary agencies to identify and attract candidates.
Screening Resumes: Reviewing applications and resumes to identify suitable candidates for further evaluation.
Conducting Interviews: Coordinating and conducting interviews with potential candidates, both initial screenings and in-depth interviews.
Hiring: Extending job offers, negotiating terms, and managing the onboarding process for new hires.

Employee Relations
Conflict Resolution: Addressing and mediating conflicts or disputes between employees to maintain a harmonious work environment.
Conduct investigations resulting from employee complaints
Employee Engagement: Developing and implementing strategies to increase employee engagement and satisfaction.
Communication: Ensuring effective communication between management and employees, and keeping staff informed about organizational changes and policies.

Performance Management
Performance Reviews: Review documents supervisors present for HR/legal issues, be present during reviews
Performance Review Calendar: set calendar reminders for when reviews are due.

Compliance and Record-Keeping
Policy Implementation: Ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies, and implementing new policies as needed.
Record Maintenance: Keeping accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, job history, and performance records.
Timecard Management
Payroll processing and submission

Administrative Tasks
Documentation: Managing various administrative tasks such as drafting HR documents, maintaining files, and managing HR software systems (PEO in January comes to mind).
Reporting: Generating reports related to HR metrics, such as turnover rates, hiring statistics, and training outcomes.
Daily Attendance: Listen to voicemails for call offs and gather information regarding employees who are not in attendance. Sharing with the entire team
Office Backup: Provide backup for phones and customer service as needed along with the ability to look up orders and track shipments
