Description

Kelly® is hiring a Packaging Operator to work at a food manufacturing client in Rochester, MN. Let us help you grow at work and discover the next step in your career, all while being a vital part of your community.

Job includes operating a forklift. At least 6 months of forklift (or cherry picker, hi-lo, reach truck boom lift etc.)  experience is required.

$20 per hour + $1 per hour shift differential

Second shift 4:45 PM to 5:15 AM

40 hours per week

Rotating schedule including weekends for work/life balance:
Work 2, off 2
Work 3, off 2
Work 2, off 3
Repeat

What's a typical day as a Packaging Operator?

  • Stage and blend ingredients, package products, and ensure uniformity of production
  • Perform daily set up and running of packer control system
  • Operate blending and packaging machinery/equipment
  • Wash and clean equipment
  • Fill out powder packaging summary and dry blending and packaging weight control chart, and quality control check-off procedures.
  • Follow GMP programs and rules.
  • Operate forklift 
  • Perform lock out / tag out on machines

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Have a high school diploma or GED
  • Have at least 6 months forklift experience (current or prior certification not required)
  • Have recent manufacturing, assembly, machine operation, factory or production experience
  • Possess the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Are capable of problem-solving and providing logical solutions
  • Can lift 50 pounds throughout shift
  • Can climb stairs and ladders, bend/stoop, crouch, squat, push/pull, walk and stand on throughout shift



Jobs require lifting 35-50 lbs. repeatedly, bending, reaching, stooping, walking and moving all shift.
