Financial Analyst – Cost Pricing Analyst
Temporary - 6 months project
Major Automotive OEM
$45-$50 per hour
Hybrid work schedule – in office Tuesdays and Wednesdays

This is a 6 month project however client has hire contractors in the past who have done a great job.

We're looking for a Financial Analyst to join our clients Finance team, where you'll play a critical role in managing tariff reporting and recovery. This is a high-impact role that combines data analysis, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration to help us maximize our financial performance while staying ahead of evolving regulations.
  Responsibilities:

  • Dive deep into tariff data to identify trends, detect discrepancies, and uncover opportunities for recovery.
  • Own the preparation and maintenance of reports tracking tariff performance, recovery metrics, and regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with teams across finance, operations, and regulatory affairs to gather insights and streamline recovery strategies.
  • Build and enhance processes to improve the accuracy and efficiency of tariff reporting.
  • Stay up to date with changes in tariff regulations and proactively assess their financial implications.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting related to tariff impacts, helping guide business decisions.
  • Provide training and resources to help internal teams understand and execute effective tariff recovery processes.
  • Participate in audits and ensure all tariff reporting aligns with internal policies and external standards.
  • Identify process improvements and drive innovation in how we manage and report tariffs.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in business or financial analysis, ideally within a regulatory or finance-heavy environment.
  • Understanding of tariff structures, reporting requirements, and recovery methodologies a plus.
  • Fluency in data tools—Excel, SQL, Tableau, or similar—paired with an analytical mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach to problem-solving.
