Facilities Technician II Location: Lenexa, KS
Shift: Monday-Friday with occasional weekends
Summary:
Ensure raw materials and supplies are timely ordered, stored, and delivered. Maintain facilities, manage waste, and oversee contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage contractors and vendors
- Transport hazardous materials (CDL with HazMat endorsement required)
- Supply raw materials to manufacturing groups
- Maintain compliance with waste management regulations
- Keep common spaces in proper condition
- Ensure availability of breakroom supplies
- Conduct campus inspections and assist in forklift training
- Problem-solving, client focus, cooperation, performance, accountability, influence
- CDL with HazMat endorsement or ability to acquire within 90 days
- Forklift operation, basic Microsoft Office and Google Suite skills, data entry
- RCRA Hazardous Waste Certification or ability to acquire within 30 days
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Experience: 1-2 years in warehouse, facilities, transportation, or manufacturing desired
- Read/write in English, visual inspection
- Indoor and outdoor work with exposure to various weather conditions
- Handle hazardous waste and chemicals
- Local and highway driving
