Kelly, in partnership with a growing manufacturer, is looking for a Facilities Technician in Schaumburg, IL.
This is a direct hire role, meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their vacation and benefits upon hire!

- Pay: $31.00 per hour, potentially more based on experience
- Hours: 10:00 am to 6:30 pm Monday through Friday
Perform duties to ensure the continuity and operation of all building mechanical, electrical, plumbing and grounds.
- Preform, work orders and preventive maintenance daily and prioritize work with Plant Engineer.
- You must be able to use a desktop computer, laptop, or pad device to enter work orders and PM's using the CMMS System and BAS System.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, repair and maintain building facilities and systems using knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical/electronic technology, welding, HVAC, pumps, mechanical technology, overhead door repair, tile replacement, and drywall repair and painting.
- Install, connect and maintain electrical circuits (480V, 220V, 277V, 120V, and low voltage 24V and 12V systems and distribution equipment.
- Maintain and repair water, gas and compressed air piping and equipment for machinery and facility use.
- Promote safety, work with safety protocols and procedures.
- Maintain facility and grounds: remove snow, spread salt, maintain parking lot, repair fence and windows.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Assemble or dis-assemble, move and maintain office furniture.
- Cleaning and janitorial duties, if required.
- Keep work area, office and workshop in a clean and orderly condition.
- High School Diploma or GED plus minimum 5 years with mechanical facility experience.
- Use mathematics together with the analytical use of complicated maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams or prints, and use various types of adjustable measuring instruments such as calipers or micrometers.
- Equivalent at least one year of experience in applied trades training on a particular or specialized occupation, requiring knowledge of pneumatics, electronics or hydraulics HVAC, Pumps.
- Basic Equipment Experience: Forklift, Facility Utility Vehicle, Pallet jacks, High Lift Equipment, Basic drills and mechanical tools, Volt Meter, safety devices.
- Computer Skills data input and the upkeep of maintenance records.
