Title: Electrical & Instrumentation Technician
Location: Shawnee, KS
Job Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2nd Shift (2PM-10:30PM)
Pay Range: $40-$45/HR (Based on Experience)
SUMMARY
Kelly Engineering is in search of a talented and skilled E&I Technician to join our client's team for an exciting opportunity! Our client is a global entity eager to expand their team located in Shawnee, KS
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Aid in manufacturing by diagnosing issues in industrial equipment and resolving process malfunctions.
- Offer support for engineering initiatives and projects.
- Conduct testing and calibration of instruments such as pressure, temperature, weight, flow, rotational, and analytical devices.
- Repair and restore manufacturing equipment to operational status and document GMP activities
- Engage actively in training to enhance competencies including technical capabilities, communication, and support to production teams. Maintain organized and tidy workspaces.
- Suggest and recommend spare part requirements for equipment and assist in developing and revising maintenance SOPs and JHAs.
- Document deviations observed during the calibration process.
- Consistently maintain production equipment to boost system performance and efficiency. Conduct equipment repairs for production locales and support the installation, verification, and initiation of new processes and systems.
- Adhere to Production and Shutdown schedules outlined by Production Planning and CMMS respectively for manufacturing of quality products safely and efficiently.
- Comply with all workplace standards and safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements (OSHA), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Company Guidelines.
REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ years of industrial hands-on experience maintaining production machinery within a manufacturing environment.
- Maintenance experience specializing in industrial PLC electronics, electrical troubleshooting, SCaDA and metrology
- Process control experience supporting industrial PLC-controlled manufacturing machinery and other equipment such as pumps, tanks, and piping systems.
- Strong control system aptitude and troubleshooting skills to accurately diagnose and repair multiple types of manufacturing equipment.
- Basic mechanical skills and experience to assist with diagnostic troubleshooting of equipment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Good personal computer skills, including the use of CMMS software, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Read, interpret, and follow instructions regarding workplace documentation such as SOPs, operator manuals and work instructions.
- Understand and interpret both U.S. and E.U. formats of machine specifications, schematics, and mechanical drawings.
- Use analytical skills for troubleshooting various types of industrial machines and their controls
