As a Direct Marketing Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in planning, executing, and optimizing direct marketing campaigns aimed at maximizing donor engagement and contributions. Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Plan and Execute Direct Marketing Campaigns:
    • Develop and implement direct mail, email marketing, and SMS strategies.
    • Collaborate with the creative team to design impactful materials.
    • Coordinate with vendors for timely production and distribution.
    • Create and segment donor lists for targeted campaigns.
    • Ensure alignment with organizational goals and fundraising strategies.
  • Analyze Campaign Performance:
    • Track, analyze, and report on direct marketing KPIs.
    • Conduct A/B testing on campaign elements.
    • Utilize data insights for campaign optimization.
    • Collaborate with the data team for accurate segmentation and reporting.
    • Address underperforming campaigns with actionable solutions.
  • Donor Relationship Management:
    • Personalize outreach efforts to enhance donor experience.
    • Develop strategies to reactivate lapsed donors.
    • Maintain consistent donor communication records.
    • Gather donor feedback for future improvements.
    • Support CRM optimization efforts.
  • Collaborate Across Teams:
    • Integrate direct marketing with digital efforts.
    • Manage relationships with vendors and consultants.
    • Contribute creative ideas for new campaigns.
    • Assist in developing training materials for internal teams.
  • Innovate and Optimize Processes:
    • Stay informed on direct marketing and fundraising trends.
    • Propose and implement new tools and methodologies.
    • Streamline workflows for efficiency and cost reduction.
    • Explore innovative approaches for donor engagement.
    • Develop and test new direct marketing formats and techniques.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Education/Expertise:
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
    • 3-5 years of experience in direct marketing, preferably in fundraising or nonprofit campaigns.
    • Proficiency in CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred), email marketing tools, SMS platforms, and MS Office Suite.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in CRM systems and direct marketing tools.
    • Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and actionable insights.
    • Expertise in donor segmentation and personalization.
    • Skilled in direct mail production processes.
    • Knowledge of compliance and data privacy regulations.
